Founder, Kell Kellstad

Kell founded Quarry Mining in 1983. Throughout his career, he has had relevant experience overseas in countries such as Germany, Italy and Norway and he has visited countless drilling sites throughout Australia.

Having been in the industry all his working life, few people would be prepared to challenge Kell's deep knowledge of hard rock drilling.

Managing Director, Kari Armitage

Kari has 15 years experience in Civil Engineering design and Project Management. She has undertaken Post Graduate Business studies and for the last 3 years has enjoyed the role of managing Quarry Mining from a sales and operational perspective.

Kari has the technical expertise to help with any problem on both coal mining and tunneling projects.

NSW Sales Manager, Phill Breese

Phill has 10 years experience in the underground coal mining industry. As well as his in depth technical knowledge of underground mining and roof support in coal mines, his knowledge and experience ensures that he is fully up-to-date with all mine safety issues and operational standards.

Phill is also an experienced specialist in research and design projects and works closely with customers and engineering staff to produce customised solutions that achieve the best possible outcomes for our customers.

NSW Sales Representative, Terry Rhodes

Terry has an incredible 42 years experience in the mining industry. Roughly half his time has been spent in Australia and half overseas, especially the UK. Terry's expertise lies in roof bolting, grouting, cable bolting, PUR and fall recovery. He spends a great deal of time on customer sites, getting to understand what exactly customers want and how Quarry Mining can best tailor a solution that works over the short term and the long term.

Manager Mackay Office, Phil Myers

Phil was with the huge international group Sandvik for some 20 years and he was responsible for opening that company's Rock Tools Division in the important mining centre of Mackay. After that he spent four years as a contractor for major miners in Mackay as their marketing arm to the Central Queensland Coal Mines. He has now been with Quarry Mining for two years and has already developed a top reputation as a 'can-do' branch manager who listens to clients and responds with effective solutions.

Service & Maintenance Manager, Daryl Widders

Daryl has extensive experience with repair and maintenance of all pneumatic equipment and has been with Quarry Mining for over 15 years. He has worked on many of eastern Australia's major construction sites including the Snowy Mountains scheme, various tunnels on the Central Coast, and many major mine sites.

Production Manager, Jeff Rankin

Jeff has over 20 years experience in CNC machining, specifically in design of products for the mining industry. He has an extensive knowledge of design and programming techniques to ensure integrity of different threads, joining systems and heat treatment requirements for different products. Jeff is in charge of product quality control for all Quarry Mining products.
